I think for serious security would need sensors in more than one area. We had break in our house and it was through the window.
Afterwards we got security sensors but they falsely went off a few times in one area. So we now have sensors in 4 rooms. If 2 sensors go off the alarm rings.
I also have an iPhone app to view cameras if just one sensor is activated

New technologies bring more ways of protecting your home. I have always had alarms in my home. I also have a intruder alarm by the door in case I answer it to someone I shouldn't, with a press of a button it sets the main alarm off.
